Club Events

VFWDC members conduct day, weekend, and extended trips throughout a year.

With the Victorian High Country at our doorstep many of the trips are conducted around this area. This region has a rich history of gold mining, cattle and huts which are regularly explored. There is a large array of track networks throughout the High Country and with the advantage of exploring these with experienced members makes for fantastic touring and breathtaking scenery. Many trips are base camp and there is always the option to sit and relax, fish, swim or day trips to visit the many attractions.

The Club also visits many other areas in Victoria including the Grampians, Avoca, Murray River, Little Desert, Otways.

A Grade Trip Outback Family Trip The boys on a Night Run

Longer interstate and outback trips are also conducted by members, and in recent times trips to such locations as Robe, Flinders Ranges, Kakadu, Cape York, Fraser Island, Simpson Desert have been run.

We run a number of annual trips throughout the year, including a snow trip and a fishing trip. There are also social trips which include the annual Pub-to-Pub and the Winery weekend.

Reports are written for all Club trips. These reports are included in the Club's monthly newsletter Free Wheeling and detail the areas visited, tracks taken, track conditions, and also describe the good time had by all participants.

There's something for everybody!
